The Ad Council's Autism Awareness Ad Campaign began in 2006 and since then 81% of parents of young children believe that autism is very or somewhat common.

This ad campaign shows a cartoon/claymation video of Jason Sanchez who is a child who has autism. It shows some of the struggles that he has gone through in dealing with some of the issues that a someone with autism (or someone on the autism spectrum) deals with. Incorporating in the poster, the caption of "I didn't talk for a very long time". 

I felt that this was a successful campaign as it not only showed issues, but helped people  who aren't affected personally by autism (or know someone with autism) become more aware of people with autism, by reinforcing the issues and things that people deal with when dealing with autism, whether it be a child, a parent, a sibling or a friend.
