Project 3 Symbol Sets Animal-Kangaroo --- Industry-Brewery Kangaroo's are indigenous to Australia and are the National Symbol of Australia.   They are marsupial's from the family Macropodidae, macropods, meaning "large foot".   There are different types of Kangaroo's including the Red Kangaroo, the Eastern Grey Kangaroo, the Western Grey Kangaroo and the Antilopine Kangaroo. Because of its long feet, a kangaroo cannot walk normally and are the only large animals to use hopping as a means of locomotion. After discussion with the class it was decided to refine the Kangaroo with the beer taps or with a keg. With the wheat incorporated into the design With the Kangaroo holding a Beer Mug Reworked and changes made for final images.

PSA Poster Group C - The Equality Center Dennis R. Neill Equality Center The group I am working with was assigned "The Equality Center" for our PSA Poster. The Dennis R. Neill Equality Center is located at the edge of downtown Tulsa and has been serving LGBT Oklahomans since 1980.  This non-profit organization is housed in an 18,000 sq. ft. facility and is one of the largest LGBT centers in the region.  It houses an event center, full-service lending library, a wellness center, a cyber center and has many classes that members of the community can attend. PSA Blog Post The Ad Council's Autism Awareness Ad Campaign began in 2006 and since then 81% of parents of young children believe that autism is very or somewhat common. This ad campaign shows a cartoon/claymation video of Jason Sanchez who is a child who has autism.  It shows some of the struggles that he has gone through in dealing with some of the issues that a someone with autism (or someone on the autism spectrum) deals with.  Incorporating in the poster, the caption of "I didn't talk for a very long time".  I felt that this was a successful campaign as it not only showed issues, but helped people  who aren't affected personally by autism (or know someone with autism) become more aware of people with autism, by  reinforcing the issues and things that people deal with when dealing with autism, whether it be a child, a parent, a sibling or a friend.

Graphic Design Superstar Stefan Sagmeister  Stefan Sagmeister is an Austrian-born US based contemporary graphic designer, typographer, performance artist, writer and film maker whose current studio is in New York.   He also teaches in the graduate department of the School of Visual Arts in New York and has been appointed as the Frank Slanton Chair at the Cooper Union School of Art, New York. Stefan, the youngest of six children, like many in their youth, liked music and the images on the album covers.   He also had a passion for designing and began his designing career at age 15.    After graduating high school, he enrolled in an engineering college, opting later to enroll in graphic designing courses.   He applied to the University of Applied Arts Vienna (being accepted after his second try), where he received his MFA and in 1987 earned the Fullbright Scholarship for New York based Pratt Institute.  He also has a Masters in Communicatio...

"Saul Bass & Title Design" The Saul Bass design for Alfred Hitchcock's movie "The Birds" is a very simplistic and stylized design but is very bold with the colors used along with the informational background for "The Birds" .  The way that the feather outline somewhat 'surrounds' the actual movie information reminds me of how 'The Birds' in the movie, surround the actual lives of the people in the movie. I feel that the use of the red-orange overlay with the white feather works well. "Art of the Title" For this I reviewed many opening credits for many movies and have chosen, There are two versions with this particular title/theme.  The original one being the 1965 television version which was written by Michael Garrison as somewhat of a James Bond on horseback for the television audience who at the time were geared towards western themes and spy themes.
